Think process then function in change management

by Mr Per Olsson 10. September 2010 06:45
Even though its tempting to dive into functions and details its better to first get a grip of the process and big picture first.

This way you build up a good knowledge of impact of the parts in the chain and which functions to focus on and save resources at a later stage when implementing.

At a first glance it's easy to direct focus the wrong direction when starting on functional levels

Ghost or audit management

by Mr Per Olsson 2. June 2010 22:33

Some times employees wont go for management switch, interim manager, is my experience. Some think its good, some think its bad.

Idea, is it possible to manage like a ghost in the surroundings without being visible to anyone below management and where ordinary management is the official facing their employees but with an audit on decisions? More of a mentor-relationship to the permanent management.

The idea is that what management at a company could need is a push or two in the right direction without having interim management.
Experience is that not always the employees stay calm and loyal if management is removed or exhanged.

Of course this could make management work like a marionette but they would still work and look like the active part downwards.

During the audit management period the manager have time to learn to act on himself without someone moving around like a ghost around him is one thing that could be positive if the audited person is prepared to learn.

Questions arise:
Good/bad?
Already tested, results?

Of course an expert should be able to spell

by Mr Per Olsson 25. May 2010 11:37
Do not call yourself an expert, no matter industry, if you cannot even spell.

Its sad to see that it is actually people that cannot spell but still they spreading the word about themselves being experts

Some tips:
Read through the text before publishing or sending it out to the public
Let someone else read your text
Use the the different spell checkers that is often in todays text editors.

The problem with bad spelling is that it wont emphasize the expert title and in my mind the personal trademarks value is hurt
